Big news! On August 27th, Safety Manager Jerrad Heppler had the opportunity to attend the ceremonial signing of the Operation Work Zone Awareness bill by Governor Henry McMaster.
This new law requires the DMV to implement a construction work zone safety training program, making this training mandatory for all new drivers. The CAGC collaborated with SCDMV and SC driving schools to develop the one-hour training video that will now be a requirement for every new driver in the state.
With this legislation, SC becomes only the third state in the Nation to modernize driver training laws to include construction work zone safety.
