SCAPA 2012 Quality Pavement Award, 2013

Asphalt Paving SC - SC APA logoThe South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association (SCAPA) presented three SCAPA Quality Pavement Awards for 2012. SCAPA's Quality Pavement Awards program was designed to recognize contractors and owners who go above and beyond in their dedication to excellence in asphalt paving. The program promotes high quality asphalt paving projects completed across South Carolina. This year, 8 entries were received and judged by the judges. Banks Construction Company received the Award for their Open Graded Friction Course Replacement work (OGFC) on I-26. Read more >

Merit Award for Outstanding Safety Performance from Carolinas AGC Foundation, 2012

We had a Lost Time Incident Rate 75% Below the National AGC Average. This National AGC and Carolinas AGC safety recognition program compares members' safety records with others in like classifications and similar man-hours exposure. This program attempts to identify those contractors that demonstrate exemplary safety programs that involve all employees from upper management to the newest laborer employed.

SCAPA 2009 Commercial and Multi-Lane Highway Awards, 2009

The South Carolina Asphalt Pavement Association bestows two awards each year. The categories are Commercial and Multi-Lane Highway. Banks Construction Company was awarded both of these for 2009! Our Johns Island Airport project won the Commercial Award, and our US 17 Cross Town won the Multi-Lane Highway Award. Due to hard work, dedication and a commitment to excellence, it is with great honor that Banks Construction Company is the 2009 recipient of these accolades!

Carolina's AGC Presidential Award for Outstanding Safety Performance, 2008

For 2007, with a total of zero Lost Time Injuries/Illnesses, Banks Construction Company was given the Presidential Award for Outstanding Safety Performance.

Carolina's AGC Summit Award for Outstanding Safety Performance, 2008

Banks Construction Company has been awarded Third Place in the Summit Award for Outstanding Safety Performance in 2007. Presidential award winners, such as Banks, have the highest work hours accumulated for each work hour division without a lost time accident.
